What this extension does

Outcome Orientation displays a question overlay when you visit social media sites (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, and Threads). It asks you to declare your intent before browsing. Your responses are stored locally and displayed in a personal dashboard.

Data storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). Your data never leaves your browser. There is no server, no database, no cloud storage, and no external transmission of any kind.

What data is stored

The extension stores your declared intent (which option you selected), the site you were visiting, a timestamp, and the duration of your session. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is only used to populate your personal dashboard.

Data collection

This extension collects zero data. No personal information, no analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking, no crash reports. Nothing is transmitted to any server or third party.

Third parties

No data is shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party for any reason.

Cookies and tracking

This extension does not use cookies, pixels, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technology.

Deleting your data

You can delete all stored data at any time by clicking the "Clear Data" button in the extension's dashboard. Alternatively, uninstalling the extension removes all associated data.

Permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions necessary to function: storage (to save your sessions locally), tabs (to detect when you leave a tracked site), activeTab (to identify which site you're visiting), and content script access to the tracked social media domains (to display the overlay).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. The extension's core privacy commitment — all data stays on your device, nothing is transmitted — will not change.
